The new W203 model C-Class was introduced in 2000 and brought the styling of the compact Mercedes executive line up to date. The classy curves, solid interior and refined drive make driving the C-Class a pleasure.

From 2003 the C-Class used the new range of M271 engines, offering lower emissions, better fuel economy and increased refinement. They replaced the earlier models of various engine sizes with a range of 1.8 litre engines of various power outputs. The C200 Kompressor represents a 163 bhp Supercharged version of this engine.

Performance is good thanks to a range of strong engines, but so too is refinement and the hushed saloon has the ability to shut out wind, road and engine noise. Handling is crisp with tight body control and accurate, precise steering, but none of this comes at the cost of comfort - the Merc’s ride is smooth and composed on all surfaces.
